These premium organic white peony tea leaves are grown and harvested from the mountainous tea gardens in Fujian Province, China. The cool mountain air combined with the slight mist from the nearby sea brings out a rich, mellow flavor that will surely impress you. With the strict manufacturing process, the delicate aroma and freshness of the tea leaves are retained.
White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) is made from sets of one bud and two leaves. It is partially air dried and then further sun-withered.
White peony tea tastes mellow-sweet and refreshes your mind.
Like green and black, white tea is derived from the plant Camellia Sinensis. For white tea, only the youngest buds are harvested, after which they are allowed to wither and dry naturally. There is no rolling, shaking or pan-frying involved.
White tea has the most subtle flavour of all teas. Despite being milder and containing less caffeine, it is thought to be the richest in polyphenols and other antioxidants. This arguably makes it the most healthy.
The brewed product is smoothly refreshing and does not have an overwhelming, bitter taste.
